WHO I AM
Ashley Donaldson #runbreakable
My running journey started back in 2008 in high school at a local 5k where I placed 3rd in my age division at 27:38. Since then, like any runner, I've had my ups and downs. In December of 2015, I faced my biggest hurdle -- Ankle Reconstruction. With the doctors telling me I wouldn't run again, I knew I had to get back out there!
In 2017 I ran my first half marathon!
Since then, I've run 10 half marathons, 4-19.3 Disney Challenges, and Boston Marathon! I've been a mentor for a local running club for a couple years, but I decided it was time to spread my wings and help you find your love for running!
November of 2021, I faced yet another huge injury -- Full Knee Reconstruction. I had completely ruptured my ACL, MPFL, and meniscus. This resulted in 2 cadaver ligaments, 5 screws, and a pin. I'm still in the recovery phase for about a year. But I will not let this injury hold me back. I will be the runner I used to be. Until then, I will live through everyone that I coach.
Have faith in me, if you are new to running or recovering from an injury. I can take care of you.
I am now a RRCA Running Coach and Group Exercise Certified (Including 6 specific formats).
It can be hard to want to step out of the door, but we are all Hell on Heels. It all begins with a single step.
YOU ARE WELCOME
Hell on Heels Running is for all runners, aspiring and active. I’m excited to welcome your personal story and perspective into Hell on Heels regardless of experience, current ability, or background. Diversity is our strength.
Still unsure, read some of my athletes' stories!
I'm proud that I set a goal, trained for something for 9 months, and didn't get too caught up in my failures and setbacks, and I finished what I started.
This is HUGE for me
