My running journey started back in 2008 in high school at a local 5k where I placed 3rd in my age division at 27:38. Since then, like any runner, I've had my ups and downs. In December of 2015, I faced my biggest hurdle -- Ankle Reconstruction. With the doctors telling me I wouldn't run again, I knew I had to get back out there!
In 2017 I ran my first half marathon!
Since then, I've run 10 half marathons, 4-19.3 Disney Challenges, and Boston Marathon! I've been a mentor for a local running club for a couple years, but I decided it was time to spread my wings and help you find your love for running!
November of 2021, I faced yet another huge injury -- Full Knee Reconstruction. I had completely ruptured my ACL, MPFL, and meniscus. This resulted in 2 cadaver ligaments, 5 screws, and a pin. I'm still in the recovery phase for about a year. But I will not let this injury hold me back. I will be the runner I used to be. Until then, I will live through everyone that I coach.
