DO I NEED TO BE AT A CERTAIN ATHLETIC LEVEL TO TRAIN?
No! I train all athletic abilities! Anyone from a brand new runner that has never taken their first running step, to the ultramarathoner who is looking to shave time off their 100 miler.
HOW DOES TRAINING DIFFER FROM BEGINNERS TO EXPERTS?
Beginner training plans start out with low mileage and more cross training to keep my athlete engaged and on a schedule. My more experienced athlete is going to have higher mileage with more run days and likely more speed work to maximize the quality of miles under their feet.
WHY IS HAVING A COACH BENEFICIAL?
Having a coach is another tool in your toolbelt. A coach knows when you are pushing yourself beyond your limits and you need to back off before you get injured. They also know what plan is going to be best for you to reach your goals, rather than a random plan that is not customized for your lifestyle and needs. Not only do you get a coach, you get a friend and a team of friends!
